ALBANY – Anthony E. “Nino” Crisafulli, 86, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, with his family by his side. Nino was born in Albany and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He later graduated from Siena College, and co-founded and worked at Crisafulli Brothers Imports in Albany. He also owned and managed numerous rental properties in the area, and was a founder of The Brew Crew (Oliver’s and Westmere Beverage Centers).
Nino is survived by his beloved wife Margaret Santa Maria Crisafulli; his children Joseph Crisafulli of Albany, Mark Crisafulli (Kathleen) of Slingerlands, Tina Daley (Bill) of Massachusetts, and Frank Crisafulli (Michele) of Voorheesville; his sister in law Dale Crisafulli of Slingerlands; his grandchildren Damian, Anthony, Joseph, Mary, Anne, Talia, Mia, and Claire Crisafulli; and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Vincent “Jimmy” Crisafulli, and his sisters Anna DiNapoli and Mary Spore.
The family would like to thank Nino’s caregivers Corey, Shelly, Lloyd, and Gwen; hospice representatives Jennifer, Craig, Cylon, and Nick; and Dr. Mary Rapazzo, Dr. Adam Lammly, Dr. Joseph Dudek, Dr. Todd Doyle, and Dr. Michael DeVito for the wonderful care they all provided.
Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Saturday morning at 10:15 a.m., and from there to All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., (behind CVS), Albany at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
