ALBANY – Charlotte A. Manning, 86, of Albany, passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn on Friday, March 11, 2022, following a long illness. She was born September 14, 1935, the daughter of Charlotte Barriere and Richard Stoessel. She was employed for many years at the VA Hospital in Albany. Charlotte was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend who loved her family above all else. She enjoyed camping with her family, cruises with husband, traveling with her daughters, bowling, gardening, sewing and boating. Her enduring legacy to all who knew her will be her great love of family, her generosity, kindness and compassion which will be missed by all who knew her.

Charlotte was predeceased by her loving husband William Manning and her sisters Dianna Stoessel, Claire Adams, and Lucinda Flint. She is survived by her sister Jenny Keleman of Clifton Park, New York; her daughters Charlene Manning-Ellis (Curtis Ellis) and Lisa Lenz (Herbert Lenz); and her grandchildren William Michael Lenz, Steven Andrew Lenz and Sophia Grace Ellis.

A small family celebration of life is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hans Funeral Home, Albany. To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit HansFuneralHome.com.
