James M. Bushey, Sr.

ALBANY – James M. Bushey, Sr., 87, of Albany, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Jim was born in Albany, the son of the late George P. Bushey, Sr. and Esther Marshall Bushey. He lived here all his life. He served in the U.S. Navy for several years and was employed by the Argus Greenwood Printing firm before becoming the owner of the Michael William Printery in Cohoes. He was past president of the Printing Industries Association. Jim was a communicant of All Saints Catholic Church and of the former Holy Cross Church. He also enjoyed golfing, and golfed in a league at Western Turnpike, and was a member of the Albany Country Club, and also of the University Club.

Jim was predeceased by his son Michael P. Bushey. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Maureen E. Tuffey Bushey; his daughter Susan Kolb (John) of Albany; his son James M. Bushey, Jr. of Rensselaer; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Haber (Steven) of LasVegas, NV; his grandchildren Emma Kolb, Brian J. Bushey, and Lillian Bushey; and by many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brothers George and John Bushey, and his sister Mary Robilotti. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany (behind CVS) on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rensselaer.
