James J. Woodard

ALBANY – James J. Woodard, 87, formerly of Albany, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018.  James was born in Albany, and lived here all his life.  He was employed for many years by the painting firm of Harold O’Connor & Sons, and by Tougher Heating & Plumbing, and then for many years at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Albany.

James is survived by his daughters Josephine Locke (Leslie) of Brunswick, and Deannie Micare (Joseph) of Guilderland; by his sisters Grace, Ann, & Florence, and by his grandchildren Amanda Locke, and Heather Gorman (Peter); and his great grandchildren Lily and Eric Gorman.  He was predeceased by his brother John Woodard.

Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Wednesday at 12:00 noon.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.  Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.  To leave a message of condolence for the family or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
