LOUDONVILLE – Joanne G. Tinker, 88, of Loudonville, passed away peacefully with her beloved family around her on Friday, May 12, 2023, at St. Peter’s Hospice. Joanne was born in Little Falls, NY, the daughter of the late John and Katherine Kryla Gielarowski. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School, and was employed for a time by the former WLFH radio station in Little Falls. In 1958 she moved with her husband to Ticonderoga, and in 1960 to Loudonville. She was later employed at the Colonie Town Hall. Joanne loved reading, cooking, golf, and flower arranging, and was an avid supporter of her children through the years in their many sports, scouting and school activities. She deeply loved her family, friends, and neighbors.
Joanne was predeceased by her husband Frank G. Tinker, and by her son Mark A. Tinker. She is survived by her son Frank J. Tinker (Julie) of Virginia Beach, VA; her daughter Michele Stewart (Chip) of Leesburg, VA; her grandsons Trevor, Ian, and Ryan; and by six nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be held privately after the mass in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hans Funeral Home.
