Kathleen H. Katz

SARATOGA – Kathleen Hans Katz, 71, of Ormond Beach, FL, formerly of Saratoga, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 in Saratoga. Kate was born and raised in Albany, the daughter of the late William C. Hans, Jr., and Helene Crowley Hans. She was a graduate of the former Marylrose Academy. Kate and her husband Stan lived in Albany, Colonie, and Rock Hill, SC, before moving to Saratoga where they lived for nearly forty years before moving to Florida several years ago. Kate operated a cleaning service in Saratoga for many years, and she enjoyed walking, bike riding, tennis and pickle ball.

Kate is survived by her loving husband Sanford L. “Stan” Katz; her brother Michael Hans (Brenda) of Maryville, TN; her sisters Therese Louis (Eric) of North Chelmsford, MA and Patricia Murdock (Jack) of Stephentown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and in-laws.  She was predeceased by her brother William A. Hans.

A graveside service will be held Monday morning, July 1st, at 11:00am in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. Relatives and friends are invited. Please enter via the south gate of the cemetery on Rt. 378, and drive approximately one quarter mile. The gravesite will be on the right.
