Louis L. Montana

ALBANY – Louis Leonard Montana, 70, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022.  Lou was born and raised in Freeport on Long Island.  He was the son of the late Ann Feret Goodrich and Louis Montana.  After living in California and Colorado, Lou settled in Albany in the 90’s.  He owned and operated Nouveau Hair Salon along with Elements Gifts.  Lou’s talents made their way to The Cuttery, where he worked for the past 20 years.  For all who knew Lou, you know of his love for animals, antiquing, and floral design along with his sense of humor and quick wit.

Lou is survived by his beloved partner, Peter A. Romano; his siblings Robert Goodrich, Dennis Hillman, Debra Kupferman (Mike), Claudia Tellone, Sara DeBenedetto (Eric), and Adam Ostrover; and by several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sisters Lou Ann Martin, Lynda Fillion, and Sharon Morgan.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, August 12, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 3-6 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, P.O.
