Marie T. Skerritt

ALBANY – Marie Temme Skerritt, 85, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Delmar Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Delmar, NY. She was born to Paul and Hazel Temme on January 6, 1940 in Washington, D. C. Marie earned her Masters of Social Work degree and served for many years with The Little Sisters of the Poor in Latham, NY, helping seniors access community services. She was a communicant of the Parish of Mater Christi and the former St. Teresa of Avila Church in Albany.  

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Theodore Barry Skerritt, to whom she was married for over 50 years. Marie is survived by her nephew Theodore Skerritt Brewer of Simi Valley, CA., her niece Nancy Brewer Conta of Hillsboro, OR. and several grand nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Delmar Center for their compassionate and loving care of Marie. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning January 21st at 10:00 am by Fr. Daniel Quinn in the Parish of Mater Christi, Hurst Ave. & Hopewell St., Albany. Arrangements are entrusted to Hans Funeral Home of Albany. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
