Grandchildren include Amanda Bernard, Nicholas Gerardi, Samuel Gerardi and Joseph Gerardi, Jamie Bercier, Matthew Bercier, Lucas Bercier, Cooper Latta, Gavin Latta, Ayden Latta, Glenn Latta Jr., Alyssa Latta and Peyton Latta.
She was excited to be reunited with her brother Vincent Canna and her beloved parents Vincent and Roseland Canna in heaven.
Pat was an alumnus of Cairo High School Class of 1959 of which many friendships continue to this day. She graduated as an adult student with an associate’s degree from Columbia Greene Community College while raising her children. Her work history included a successful career in the insurance industry and finally retiring from the NYS Workers Compensation Board in Albany.
Pat was very determined in every project she believed in. She enjoyed her square-dancing hobby for over 15 years and being a proficient seamstress, sewed countless costumes for dancing and in earlier years for her family. Pat was involved in the Catholic church in Leeds Alter Rosery Society. She loved Sarasota, Florida where she lived for many years. She had a passion for her garden and her pets especially Yoda, Panda and Puss. Most importantly she had pride and love for her children and grandchildren and their adventures.
Pat has generously chosen to donate her remains to the Anatomical Gift Program at Albany Medical College in Albany.
“I’m glad I didn’t know the way it would all end, the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance, I could have missed the pain, But I’d have to miss the dance” - Garth Brooks.
