Paul M. Harden

SCHENECTADY – Paul Michael Harden, 42, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Ellis Hospital.  Paul was simply the best.  A 1980 New Year’s Eve baby, he was born in Albany to Mary and Phil Harden.  He stayed in Albany through college, where he attended The College of St. Rose, earning a Bachelor of Science degree and eventually taking a job in the IT field at New York State.  Paul was a kind and caring man who loved his family and friends dearly.  He enjoyed baseball (Go Yankees!) and video games, and loved nothing more than spending weekends with his wife.  Summers were his favorite times filled with BBQ pool parties, projects with neighbors, and soccer games.  Anniversary trips to Cape Cod together were the highlight of every year.

Paul is survived by his wife Cassi Harden; parents Mary & Phil Harden; brother Phil Harden, Jr. (Manpreet); Mother-In-Law Cheryl VanDyke; Brothers-In-Law Ken LaBarr (Sasha), Anthony LaBarr, Greg LaBarr, Bill LaBarr, and Steven McIntyre; Sister-In-Law Marilyn McIntyre; Nephew Phil Harden, III (Hannah); Nieces Jasmine Harden, Luna LaBarr, Samantha Green, Elena LaBarr, and many many close family and friends.  Paul was predeceased by beloved and longtime family cat, Tails.

A gathering to celebrate Paul’s life will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, on Wednesday, October 4^th, from 4-6 p.m.  Relatives and friends are invited.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to Central Veterinary Hospital, 388 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206, Attn: Donna to support their work with stray and rescue animals.  To leave a message of condolence for Paul, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com .
