MONTGOMERY, TX – Sarah Laviano Burby Campbell, 90, formerly of Albany, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at her daughter’s home in Montgomery, Texas after battling a long illness. Sarah lived in Albany for many years, and was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of NY. After retiring, she and her husband moved to Port Charlotte, FL for a time, and then for the past 18 years lived in Willis, TX. Sarah will be remembered as a caring, giving, and joyful person and will be missed dearly. May God bless her.
Sarah is survived by her husband Elmer Campbell; her daughters Jeanette Allan (Damian) of Montgomery, TX and Joyce Martin (Tom) of Albany; her son Philip Cassera of Greenfield, CA; her brother Vincent Laviano of Troy; and by eleven grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany Saturday morning at 8:45, and from there to All Saints Catholic Church (formerly St. Margaret Mary’s Church), Homestead St., Albany at 9:30. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
