Shirley Bensinger

COHOES - Shirley Bensinger passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at home.  Born in Ballston Spa, Shirley graduated from Galway High School.  She was a homemaker for a time, but returned to work and retired from Sagamon Mills in Cohoes.

Shirley was a friend to all that knew her, with a heart of gold.  There wasn't a place she didn't go where someone always knew her.

In addition to her one true love, her fiancé Edwin Vincente, Shirley is survived by her two daughters Kristina Charboneau (Brian) and Renee Moore (Ash); her for grandchildren Ashley, Kaitlyn, Matthew, and Quinn; one great grandchild Brayden; her cat Cuddles; and close family friend Vikki LaFountaine.  Shirley was predeceased by her oldest daughter Lisa C. Bensinger.

Anyone who knew Shirley knows how passionate she was about saving a life.  Shirley very proudly donated her body to the Albany Medical College Anatomical Gift Program.  Services will be held at a later time.
